We were all sorry to hear Protoveg/Direct Foods were no longer producing Sosmix & Burgermix but we seem to have found a much better alternative. Feedback from customers tells us this is a better product as its lower in fat, better value & tastes nicer. It is great on its own, simply mix with water and then cook on a baking tray or in the pan. However it can made much more interesting with some simple kitchen ingredients for a different taste every night. Favorite ideas include - Garlic & Onion Burgers - Apple & Cinnamon, Tomato & Herbs, Curry Powder & Onion. Also can be made into a vegan corned beef pie or hash by mixing with mashed potatoes & served with redwoods vegan gravy. A Christmas hit is simply mixing it with stuffing to make porky style stuffing balls. Ingredients: Wholewheat breadcrumbs, textured soya protein, non hydrogenated vegetable fats, hydrolised vegetable protein, onion powder, vegetable cellulose gum, sea salt, herbs, spices.
