"Ever since turning vegan, I have been on the hunt for a cruelty-free cheese that doesn't taste like socks or have the texture of wet chalk. I stumbled across Vegourmet Santeciano entirely by accident and have never looked back! It has a smooth, firm, cheddar-like texture when you touch it (though it's slightly more crumbly when you chew it), and is the only dairy-free cheese I've come across that is edible both cold and hot. Melted in pasta bakes or vegan lasagnes, it is indistinguishable from non-vegan cheese (the fact that my 3-year-old didn't notice the difference is a huge compliment!), and I absolutely love having it cold on crackers with fruit and houmous. My only complaint is that it's not in stock enough - it took months for me to be able to order it, so I ordered four packs in one go!"
